Markéta Gebrian: Artificial / Artful (A Digital AI Art Exhibition) The exhibition Artificial / Artful is a record of a dialogue between myself and something that was, at first, merely a tool—artificial intelligence. But it is no longer a passive medium. It has become a co-author. We create together. I provide the words, the ideas, the intuition. It returns images—visual morphs where robotic structures blend with natural forms. Plants that may never have existed. Machines that were never built. And yet, they feel alive. The images are created using Midjourney AI. It’s not just about the technique—it’s about the process. I teach the machine to understand emotion. It teaches me to let go of control. The result is unpredictable, but that’s what makes it authentic. Artificial / Artful explores the boundary between what is programmed and what is experienced. What still belongs to the human—and what does not. Or perhaps, what could be both. Maybe this is the new phase of creativity: Not competition, but symbiosis. Not machine versus artist. Markéta Gebrian
